About Us

About Us:

The Rental Owners Association is an organization of landlords who care about ethical, legal and profitable landlording practices.  Through the Rental Owners Association, members share problems, solutions and ideas with other landlords, and find information that comes from similar organizations in Oregon and around the country.

ROA comprises over 1,100 landlords in Eugene, Springfield and beyond. Most members own fewer than six units, yet each is committed to being a professional.  ROA landlords know that doing things right may take a little extra time and effort, but they also know that one “bad” tenant can cost hundreds, even thousands of dollars.

Our Mission:

                       "Unlocking the Door
        to Successful Property Management"

Our mission is to provide our members with the tools to support their commitment to professionalism in the management of their properties and businesses.  We are committed to providing our members with the resources and information necessary to achieve this goal.

Additional Benefits:

By joining ROA, you also become a member of the Oregon Rental Housing Association (ORHA), a statewide affiliation of fourteen local rental housing association chapters throughout Oregon.   Through ORHA, ROA members have an effective voice in the Oregon Legislature through the ORHA rental housing lobbyist.

  • ROA BULLETIN, 10 issues, full of current news, articles, advertising, and other useful information.

  • Over fifty ORHA forms available, including applications, rental agreements, 72-hour, 144-hour, 30/60-day notices, and deposit and screening fee disclosures that are proven effective in court and updated every time the law changes.

  • Member Helpline Service:  to-the-point and knowledgeable help through our local Helpline - available to "Regular" members only.

  • Monthly meetings with speakers of pertinence to the industry, including lawyers, judges, lobbyists, credit reporting agencies, and property managers.
