Advanced Reasonable Accommodations Hoarding, etc.

#2026

WEDNESDAY
  October 7th, 2020

11am to 1pm

Did you know that an applicant can claim disability
that requires you to discount some or all of their past
credit, criminal or rental history based on a prior addiction?

There's a lot to know about reasonable accommodation
and what  you don't know can get you into hot water.

At the end of this course, attendees should be able to identify
the types of accommodations or modifications that a disabled
person can request, the documentation that can be required
from the tenant to confirm the disability-related need, and
how to manage disabled tenants who violate the rules.

Instructor: Tia Politi

is a licensed property manager, rental owner, and president of the
Rental Owners Association of Lane County. She serves as the secretary
for the Oregon Rental Housing Association (ORHA) and ORHA Education, Inc.,
heads up the ORHA Forms Committee, serves as a volunteer instructor for
St. Vincent de Paul’s Second Chance Renter’s Rehab Program, and teaches
classes in rental management throughout the state, including a class teaching
high school seniors the basics of renting a home. Tia owns and operates
Rental Housing Support Services, LLC, providing consultation, landlord-tenant
training, mediation, notice prep and service, eviction support,
