In these turbulent times, many tenants (and landlords)
are especially stressed and dealing with problems
that stretch their ability to cope. As a result, they may
act out, be belligerent, or have another reaction
that makes it difficult to work with them. This seminar
covers what options housing providers have,
techniques for deescalating conflict, problem solving,
and follow up when needed.

Instructor: Violet Wilson

Violet Wilson is the "V" in V & R Management.
Violet is Oregon licensed and works full-time as a property manager.
Violet holds a Bachelor of Arts in Science from San Jose State
University and a Masters of Science in Education from
Western Oregon University. She was a high school teacher
for over 34 years in California and Oregon schools.

V & R Management, LLC has operated since 1990,
specializing in single family home rentals but they
have managed all types of properties.

Violet is a past vice president of Oregon Rental Housing Association,
current chair of the ORHA Education Committee, and serves
on the ORHA Legislative Action Committee. Since 2008,
she has taught property management classes for local
and the state housing provider associations. In addition,
she has volunteered to teach classes to help tenants
become better residents.
